Got the cheap DVD drive, burned the ISO disk per instructions and now I am up and running! Thanks guys! Mark this solved!

In the BIOS,(PhoenixBIOS V1.00L13A) I have no option for a USB boot, only CD drive, Hard Disk Drive, Floppy Drive and LAN

That will Make a bootable USB with an ISO file, can I do a complete install from an ISO?

I bought a used Pan. toughbook with no HDD. I have a HDD for it from the other toughbook I broke. I would like to install Win7 on this but it has no optical drive. Is there a workaround other than buying an external cd drive?

Thanks guys for the advice! the application installed well with the room provided and the external works well with needed room for the tonnage of additional files/libraries/etc. that are needed for it to run. Appreciate your help! I would mark this solved but I'm not sure how. thanks again!!

I have an older laptop that works well, its running XP and only has a 60GB HDD which is an IDE. I would like to use it to run some music recording software but the small HDD will get eaten up quite rapidly I'm afraid. Is it possible for me to use a 1TB external drive that I have to run software...
