Yeah it's never something apparent :lol:, I would try the reset again (remove battery and power adapter and hold the power button down to discharge)maybe even longer than 30 seconds and then plug in the adapter without battery first. I had a laptop that eventually got going after a few resets...

Are you comfortable opening it up, you could verify voltage in to see if the DC in jack is okay.

So the laptop powers up with the battery out?

Have you tried removing the battery, holding the power button for 30 seconds and then powering back up?
