Yes ok thanks for pointing that bit out, I actually brought it from a random store downtown in a hurry, never realised they would be so different :) Found the link on the packet. So, what should I buy extra to make it work? Or should I try returning and buying something else or will it never...

I have an old LG monitor which has a VGA connection, and a new ASUS Vivobook laptop with HDMI. I purchased a cable with VGA at one end and HDMI at the other, but it won’t detect the monitor. Any tips how to do this?
