mash F12 while booting then select CD-ROM when prompted for a boot device.
If your not getting a POST screen (only showing windows logo) mash F8 instead.

So I installed windows on my new laptop (after about 30 attempts). So windows updates being windows updates decide not to work, I have been trying to get them working for about 13 hours now with very limited success.
Current problem. Windows Update infinite scanning for updates...
Looking for a laptop i can use at uni and work for less than £450.
Requirements, lots of memory (8GB min), decent size hard drive (1Tb min) lots of CPU cores (min 6) will be running multiple virtual machines and resource intensive tasks. also reliability would be nice as i will probably run it...
the way i was think is using the standard 35mm jack on my PC to a amp to a 35mm to USB converter. however i do need 2 outputs (mic and audio) so i may have to build my own using something like a ardunio board.
maybe i should look to convert the USB into an analogue connection and then run an AMP from that. Its not just loud volumes its quite ones to. 1 volume level on windows is not 1% volume lol, the jump from 1-2-3 roughly doubles each time.
Is there such things as an amp for a USB headset. The audio coming off mine is fine for general use (perhaps a bit loud at times) but when listening to music and playing games I really like to be in the zone and for that it just isn't quite loud enough. I have the corsair raptors so although...
