    Thank you hang-the-9. just check the cables and they are all hooked up properly. can it be that I screwed the screws too tight? I did buy the power board on ebay...could it be bad? I am just confused.

    Replaced the power board in emachines e627 and lites don't work

    I replaced the power board in an emachines e627 and now the power light etc no longer come on. The laptop works and is useable but I really would like the lights to work. Also, the latch that holds the ribbon to the power board is broken. Any help is appreciated. :??:
