Replaced the power board in emachines e627 and lites don't work

I replaced the power board in an emachines e627 and now the power light etc no longer come on. The laptop works and is useable but I really would like the lights to work. Also, the latch that holds the ribbon to the power board is broken. Any help is appreciated.

You did not hook up all the cables properly, check them. About the latch, nothing you can do except replace it, those things are so delicate that I don't see it's possible to repair it.

Thank you hang-the-9. just check the cables and they are all hooked up properly. can it be that I screwed the screws too tight? I did buy the power board on ebay...could it be bad? I am just confused.

If it's working, it is not "bad" but could be faulty in the fact that no lights to on. Was it used off ebay? If it was, that is probably the reason for the issues you see.

've had labtop 'EMACHINE E627' The sceen went black after I had use it..I thought maybe the 'SLEEP SETTINGS' broke on my labtop. The labtop would power on with sound of the fan going, but just a 'Black sceen' WHAT CAN I DO? YOUR HELP? later I plug my 'mp3 into the 'usb ports' and it works the sceen turn on! cazy but what does this mean??
