Solved! Windows 10 stereo mix doesn't work anymore

Maybe the audio driver isn't compatible with the update? You could split the front audio output and connect both the speakers and sub. That's what you were doing before but inside the PC. You could also try this https://vac.muzychenko.net/en/

Solved! Help with Audio Quality and Background Noise

The direct bass-pc connection should work. Try it with an actual cable with 1/4" & 3.5mm mono plugs at each end. Get one that is heavy duty. That might make a more solid connection than the adapter+cheap cable. As to the other way you tried could the white noise (which could be described as a...

Solved! can i use home theatre system speaker on a new AV receiver

You will be able to use the 4 satellites and center channel speaker but not the subwoofer. HTS package systems have the sub amp built into the main unit. AVRs never have an amp built in for the subwoofer. They assume you will use a self powered sub. The satellites you have a too small to use...

Solved! How to connect 2 speakers and sound bar to an amp

Surround sound isn't just a matter of adding additional speakers. You will need a surround sound AVR. That soundbar seems to have an aux input so you can only get it to do 2 channels not three. To connect it to an AVR you will need one that has line level L/R front outputs or use a speaker to...

Question Problems with Samsung TV QN82Q90RAFXZA, Yamaha RX-V781 7.1.2 setup and Hue Sync Box

The RX-V781 seems to be 7.2 not 9.1.2 https://usa.yamaha.com/products/audio_visual/av_receivers_amps/rx-v781_u/specs.html#product-tabs The Front Presence speakers are derived from other channels, are not present in the source material, and are not the same as Atmos which is represented .2 You...

Question How do i fix this?

A local repair shop might be able to fix the problem. If the wire is broken at the plug that can often be replaced. If the problem is at the headphone then they would have to open up the headphones which may not be easy or even possible. Whether it makes economic sense depends on how expensive...

Solved! Sony TV Recording and Mirroring

TVs for the US market have never have the ability to record. Some TVs for other markets do but it's not a universal feature. Content providers want to give or sell you that function as part of their app or service. The TV does seem to support Chromecast so screen mirroring should be easy enough.

Question How to connect sony ht rt40 to pc ?

The Sony lacks a true HDMI input and HDMI-ARC is for TVs only so isn't useful with a PC. Your options would be Use an HDMI audio extractor. That would provide an optical audio output for the Sony optical input. Add a soundcard (internal or USB) with an optical audio output.

Solved! My Yamaha remote for the RX-v471 reciever wont work

Did you try using the front panel "program" button to change the surround mode? I would think you would need the remote to work for normal operation of the receiver not just to change the surround mode. You could try a factory reset of the receiver. https://factory-reset.net/en/device/yamaha-rx-v471

Question Altername way to get 5.1 audio from pc to reciver?

The optical output should be able to handle 5.1 just fine. You can check the audio control panel to make sure it's an option. It will not handle lossless audio like Dolby TrueHD however your receiver may not be compatible with these audio codecs anyway so no loss of quality there.

Question Audio popping in my home.

I think the AV guys just didn't want to take on your problem. Even if they could figure it out there wouldn't be a big enough profit in it to bother with. You could contact your local power provider. If you have an volt meter you might find that there is DC on your line, which should be pure...

Solved! My Yamaha remote for the RX-v471 reciever wont work

Usually the remote codes only apply to the control of devices other than the AVR that the remote came with. Does the remote operate the receiver's power and volume? In that case it's working fine. Make sure that the receiver is not in direct mode. That would bypass the surround modes and...

Solved! What cable should I use to connect one JBL 305 to a PC (3.5mm)?

The cable you link to is stereo at both ends. The plug at the speaker end is the correct type but not wired for your application. The 3.5mm jack of the PC is unbalanced stereo. The 1/4" TRS jack on the speaker is balanced mono. You need one of the these...

Solved! Would a Logitech replacement speaker Z506 fit my subwoofer which is Z323?

The amp has separate channels for each speaker so the right one would continue to work if the left channel of the amp was blown.
