    how is your Bose connected to it? With my samsung TV, I had to change my sound input in the TV settings to go through the soundbar rather than the tv speakers.

    You won't notice a difference in sound too much unless you do audio/studio editing. If you're not a audiophile, then don't waste your money on one. You'll be fine using the stock audio connector

    is hibernation ok?

    TBH I've always just shut my laptop (puts it into sleep "hibernation" for a couple years now, it still works fine. I would shut it off occasionally (once a month) for an update or something.
