Chrome cast works with my browser and YouTube, Netflix, etc I was wondering if there was a way to use chrome cast with screen projection/mirroring

I am trying to connect my Laptop to my TV by using Chromecast. I can using it through my Browser, but I want to do it using apps that don't work with Chromecast. I tried connecting wirelessly, but the only thing that showed up was my bluetooth headphone, my chromecast did not show up anywhere
