Using Tv as a Monitor using Chromecast

I am trying to connect my Laptop to my TV by using Chromecast. I can using it through my Browser, but I want to do it using apps that don't work with Chromecast. I tried connecting wirelessly, but the only thing that showed up was my bluetooth headphone, my chromecast did not show up anywhere

Chromecast is not a Bluetooth device, rather it works on your wireless network. It will also only work with apps that are Chromecast enabled. Are you able to successfully cast movies/videos from Netflix and Youtube?

If you are trying to use it to cast non browser based games it won't do that.

Chrome cast works with my browser and YouTube, Netflix, etc

I was wondering if there was a way to use chrome cast with screen projection/mirroring

Unless the application is Chromecast enabled, you can't do that. Sorry.
