    my toshiba laptop has stopped playing CD's and when I try to rip a CD I just get 'error ' in the status column

    My laptop has stopped playing CD's and when I try to rip a CD to my laptop instead of getting ' pending' followed by ' ripping to library' in the status column I just get ' error'
