so would I not be able to use my copy of win8's activation on a new laptop? surely if I've bought the OS then I can install it on whichever computer I am using it on?

Hi guys, I've ordered a new custom laptop, I didn't get an operating system because I had a copy of windows 8 and my activation code. However not only have I lost the disk but the new laptop does not have a dvd drive. I have windows 8 on my current laptop and it has it's own bios enclosed win8...
