    Laptop freezes on GPU load

Well, after doing a bunch of test, I found out that 100% GPU load is when the computer freezes. Anything in between and it works fine.

Yea, I've looked for the number, but I couldn't find anything at all.

    Laptop freezes on GPU load

I just downloaded and installed a lower version of the driver as I currently had the newest version. Ran FurMark and the problem still persist. I don't think the GPU on this laptop is replaceable. It's built into the motherboard.

    Laptop freezes on GPU load

I have a Toshiba Satellite laptop notebook. It's been freezing while doing anything that causes the GPU to be under load. The GPU is an Intel HD 3000. I've done FurMark GPU stress and it freezes after about a minute. The GPU temp doesn't go above 65C. While playing games, the freeze happens...

    Laptop Locking Up

For a .5 - 1ºC difference, 200 hours is a pretty lengthy period, don't you think? On a side note, I ordered the G571, should arrive in 2 - 3 days. I'll let you know how it fares.

    Laptop Locking Up

I have heard that the curing time takes about 45 cycles of powering up and down to reach the optimal standard. I'll buy a tube of the G751 and post back results. Thanks for your help JackN.

    Laptop Locking Up

Is the G751 better than Arctic Silver 5 or Arctic MX-4? If it is the thermal paste that is causing problems, I'd rather go with something that I know many people use with a lot of success if it works better. I have been told that MX-4 is actually a little better than AS5, but only by a couple...

Universal Power Supply Work with my Laptops?

The one you linked has a number of tips that you could use to fit into your power socket. Technically, you could use a 120w adapter with the right tip to power your 8510w. If I recall correctly, the tips determine how much power is drawn.

Universal Power Supply Work with my Laptops?

A 90w power supply would be fine for the 8510w. You would need a 120w for the R3000, though.

    Laptop Locking Up

It only happened once during the whole 5 minutes. The rest of the time it was hovering around 77 - 80ºC.

    Laptop Locking Up

Running OCCT: CPU OCCT at 100%, for 5 minutes, the max temperature was 84ºC, averaging 80ºC. CPU: LinPack at 100% for 5 minutes showed a consistent 79ºC. The GPU:3D test at 4 shaders, dX11, and non full screen showed 64ºC for the CPU, and 71 - 78ºC for the GPU. It ran for about 1 and a half...

    Laptop Locking Up

I finished doing that as I was posting this from a different computer and had a freeze as soon as I loaded and ran OCCT GPU test. When the laptop is idle, it's fine. Freezes seem to occur only when I load a graphic intensive program that causes some high CPU load.
