    Pretty much any soundbar that has a digital optical input will work....of course you don't want a total piece of junk so figure out your budget and go hunting!

    Just to eliminate the possibility is your HDMI out of the receiver to the TV plugged in to #1 Main HDMI out on the receiver?

    Ok I am going to be basing this answer on a couple of assumptions. Just for your info SCART is analog not digital, and based on what you wrote that is relevant. The optical cable you are using to the TV from the DVD will not send that digital audio out of the SCART analog only output, therefore...

    Ardy, Sorry but you give so little information it is real tough to help you! Almost all modern TVs have optical digital out on the back (Toslink) Most soundbars are specifically looking for optical in so based on the info you currently have provided it should work
