Right-click the device(s) in the Device Manager that are having problems, then click "Uninstall." Once they're all removed simply restart the computer. When Windows comes back check the Device Manager and see if Windows was able to install them.

Try uninstalling them from the Device Manager and rebooting, see if Windows "correctly" finds the hardware again and try re-installing the HP drivers afterwards.

Are you asking if there's a specific external drive you should buy? If so, the answer is no. Any external drive, with sufficient capacity, will do.

What happens after you install the drivers? What error do the devices show?

Replacing the "video card" in a laptop generally means replacing the entire system board which can be very costly.

What kind of device? There's recovery software that you'll need to use; R-Studio, GetDataBack.

How many SSD's are in it and how big are they? Is there an empty bay inside? I'd recommend installing another drive if you have the open bay. Use the external for backup.

Why do you need to reset to factory defaults?

Have you tried an external keyboard, USB? The HP diagnostic tool is probably related to a different issue.

If it won't turn on with the AC adapter connected it's not likely to be a battery issue. You could completely remove the battery, with the AC adapter connected try to power on (not likely to work).

You don't need 24GB of RAM, that's ridiculous. I have 16GB in my rig and even when playing BF4 on max rez and all settings on ultra I don't utilize more than 40% of my 16GB.
