I used raspberry PI when i start my HTPC but not really satisfied the performance. I end up building my own HTPC from scratch. I use AMD A6CPU. This comes with the build in graphics. I spend around 300US$ and satisfied.

I buddy of mine is thinking to get a new PC for his business and donate his old one. I'll see if i can get it from him. I have the first generation of Roku.. and my plan is to pair with the media center... once again, appreciate all of you for all your feedback.

I would like to ask the entire community of Toms hardware if you can build me a $100.00 PC mainly for streaming (XBMC). Few restriction is: 1. has to be Intel 2. GPU is not integrated with the CPU. Thanks again for all the assistance and feedback.

it will work on wireless but it will be really slow and have issues with buffering. XBMC is now called Kodi. its a streaming media player. you can do so much but its a lot of configurations.

Are you going to use XBMC or Plex? I had PI +b before.. it works but it really slow. All i can say is.. make sure you plug it directly to your router. I don't recommend wireless..

I had this issue before. replace your cable. problem solved!
