If they ever get this to where it can run all my PC games, it's bye bye Windows for me. Please Valve, make it so! The problem is that they've not managed to convince many AAA devs to make games for linux :(

4k doesn't have to be super expensive to produce... several models like the seiki 39" available under $1k. It all depends on the panel type. Cheap 4k screens worth buying will be here as soon as hdmi 2.0 is implemented.

4k won't be worth it for TV for like 10 years. But for PC gaming on the other hand....... as soon as they get a 4k 60Hz screen out for a decent price, I'm buying one.

bak0nOnly way I'll pay for TV service is if they let me pick and choose the stations I want and pay for just those. Otherwise I'll get exactly what I want online for nearly free. IMO this is the biggest problem with cable TV. I'm not a TV drone... I don't just sit there and watch TV for hours...

I doubt I'll ever pay for TV again. My wife and I prefer watching things on Netflix, and it has plenty of stuff for the kids too. The only thing I like to watch on TV is sports, and I can just go to a bar or to a friend's place to catch a game.
