no its running 7 and ubuntu and yes its rated the same as the hp charger

sorry for the confusion i have ubuntu along side windows 7. Im still getting used to ubuntu and the only thing i use windows for is games. I willsay that total war shogun2 fall of the samurai is horrible on here, even with graphics set to low. I haven't played with WINE yet.

ahh well that kinda sucks lol. oh well it plays skyrim okay if i have the video settings down lol. I was just hoping to increase it.... and i'm not using windows, I'm using ubuntu @k1114

Okay so my hp probook 6455b can increase its graphics memory i believe up to 1gig. It's shared memory and as of right now its using 307mb does anyone know how to increase how much its sharing? I looked in the bios and in the ATI control program and i got nothin... It's an ATI mobility radeon HD...

my hp probook 6455b has a good battery and occasionally charges but not very often. It never powers off when it's running just off the charger without the battery. But like i said it hardly ever charges it... I am also using a dell charger so idk if that is the problem or what.... I just dont...

wellshe got it as an online schooling pc and she doesnt remember if it came like that or if she did it. I put a different hdd in it too so i dont know if i could change this in the bios or what...

I dont really know anything about camera repair, I do with pc's but not cameras at all lol. I've taken it apart and didnt see anything visibly wrong. It just doesn't power on... any ideas?

not sure about the drivers. I don't see why you couldn't DL them directly from the Nvidia site, since they are the ones manufacturing the graphics cards.. But anywho, if I were you I would get something with an AMD processor, but thats just personal opinion. Between the three tho I would go with...

so i recently got a hp probook 6455b form a friend and on the startup screen where it displays HP, at the very top middle is says the persons name that i got it off of. Is there a way to change or remove that?
