my toshiba satellite c850 is facing this problem as described above sudden restarts/shutdowns/freezes on random timings , i had a key missing on my old keyboard so by luck i was pressing on the metal parts of the keyboards it suddenly restarts so i tried to change the keyboard it worked fine...
