go to the intel site and make sure to update to the latest integrated drivers, as well as all other drivers

The port has likely worn out. another thing to try is to contact asus support and see if there is a driver update for the hdmi port

You broke it...that's all. And since when does alienware do amd 4000 series graphics??? I'm going to say that the laptop is at least 5 years old in this case. It's just outlived its life. sorry for your loss. a repair will likely cost more than what buying an equivalent laptop now would cost

You fucked your laptop...simple as that if you can't remember what video card was in it, i'm also going to assume that you simply cleaned off all the thermal paste and did not bother re-applying new thermal paste? (the goopy looking stuff that you would have cleaned off). starting the computer...

The inspiron is a faster laptop and will be better in general
