ok Speedfan is the standard freeware for controlling fans, give it a go. For some mobos it really doesnt work though, I cant use it on my gigabyte. best thing to use is mobo software, what is the model of your mobo i'll find a link for you. one final thing, you can only change the fan speeds...

have you burnt windows to the disk and booted from the DVD? you need to do this, and then select 'repair computer', it will hopefully fix it

Right click My Computer or Computer and go to properties. Go to Device Manager or the equivalent of that. Find you Dvd/Cd Drive. Right click, and then scan for hardware changes. That should bring it up and this is very simple to do. If not reinstall the driver, thats almost always a fix.

what errors do you get when you install windows?

do other DVDs work in your drive? what is the model of your laptop? also are there any scratches on the DVD?

which browser are you using? try using chrome, and download the latest version, let us know how you get on

have you enabled desktop on the second monitor (TV)? right click on your desktop, screen resolution, detect monitors and then extend desktop.
