Very true, but you have to admit that it is far easier to steal software than to steal a car. 1.4 Ghz AMD T-Bird underclocked to 1 Ghz...just to be safe!

Reading DVDs in a CD drive????

Nope. It's not a software issue, it's a hardware one. The CD-ROM laser doesn't have the precision to read DVD data, period. 1.4 Ghz AMD T-Bird underclocked to 1 Ghz...just to be safe!

    iPod and WMAs

I agree with first poster. It will take a while, but re-rip. Don't go from one lossy to another lossy. 1.4 Ghz AMD T-Bird underclocked to 1 Ghz...just to be safe!

    Alternative to Creative drivers?

Bad things about Creative's drivers? Like what? I've used Creative's drivers with my Audigy for quite a while - no problems whatsoever. 1.4 Ghz AMD T-Bird underclocked to 1 Ghz...just to be safe!

    Nero restarts pc

Another suggestion - how do you have your IDE channels set up? Many optical burners don't do well on the primary IDE channel. My suggestion: Put any hard drives on primary IDE channel, put DVD writer on secondary channel as master and DVD reader on secondary as slave. If you aren't already...

    Nero restarts pc

Holy jeez, that's a big text dump. I had a similar problem for a while when I tried to burn CDs while running VIA 4-in-1 IDE busmaster drivers - does this apply to you? I solved it by uninstalling the drivers and using the Win XP default IDE channel drivers. 1.4 Ghz AMD T-Bird underclocked...

    ID3 tags

It's been a while since I used MP3, but I think I remember Tag&Rename being pretty good. You know, it's really not too hard to set up EAC to tag your files as you create them, and bypass RazorLame altogether. Download the Lame...

    Office Activation

AFAIK, you can't. But - you can activate by only providing the country you are in - is this really such a privacy violation? 1.4 Ghz AMD T-Bird underclocked to 1 Ghz...just to be safe!

    An awesome media organization program

Ack. I'm back to winamp, for the time being. The reason? Media center handles MP4 files rather poorly. The developers are working on it last I checked the forums, but until they can manage to deal with MP4 tags and seamless playback I gotta stick with Winamp. 1.4 Ghz AMD T-Bird...

    Looking for nice headphones

The Sony MDR-7506 is what I listen too. I like them a lot, and they tend to get good reviews on the headwize forums. They cost around ~$100. They are fairly compact. I do find them a bit tight - after several hours of listening my ears are...

    Dyne MP3 Player

I have a hard time believing that the manufacturer would release a firmware that was incompatible with their own transfer software. Check for an update to the transfer software. 1.4 Ghz AMD T-Bird underclocked to 1 Ghz...just to be safe!

    Converting WMA to MP3

IIRC, winamp supports WMA. Just turn on winamp's diskwriter and play your WMA files. Winamp will convert them to WAVs. Now use your favorite MP3 encoder to convert them to MP3s. Unless your favorite encoder is LAME, you are wrong. 1.4 Ghz AMD T-Bird underclocked to 1 Ghz...just to be...

    Converting WMA to MP3

Yes, Flacs are large. Lossless audio compression formats (flac, shorten, monkey's audio) can only typically compress to maybe 60% of original file size. 1.4 Ghz AMD T-Bird underclocked to 1 Ghz...just to be safe!
