I got a new battery, Still flashes orange and won't accept charge. I am not a computer person and don't know what to do next

You might take the new battery to a shop to have them ensure it is a good battery since it is possible the battery is bad even though new .

I got a new battery, Still flashes orange and won't accept charge. I am not a computer person and don't know what to do next

A thread is the actual message or question. I may have enough to help.just from the tags though Is the battery you just purchased an official Dell battery? If not there may be an issue but you can try turning off the machine and charging while the laptop is off - for at least two hours. Remove...

    Replacing Alienware 15 r2 body

If this is the part you need https://www.parts-people.com/index.php?action=item&id=21469&gclid=Cj0KEQjw4MK_BRC1n6KTtezikbIBEiQA872hYYlBd3FLv_qeunQOWZ55pXz87ogUpb7dUf7dsG2q9tEaAkkA8P8HAQ I'd say ~$40 if you're able to do the swap yourself (youtube should be of help there)

I spilled water UNDER my laptop

I'll suggest removing all the external stuff again and letting it dry for about 24 more hours - remove battery also if possible. You might use a hair dryer over it for a few seconds every now and again during that time. Try again after 24 hours, see if it doesn't work better.

    laptop booting problem

Try discharging your motherboard. To do that, unplug the laptop from the power adapter and remove battery. Then, with no power to the laptop, press and hold the power button for ~30 seconds. Put battery back in, plug in adapter, attempt to power on then.

    Acer laptops models help!

Here are the differences that I see (there are not many), since they are so close I'll simply refer to them as 3VG and 2QU. Starting with 3VG: It has a smaller storage drive, 256GB SSD which is substantially faster at data retrieval and writing It has 8GB of DDR4 memory and can handle up to...

    asus eee pc 1000hd help

From what I can tell, the hard drive is located bottom middle of the unit so it may be what is heating up, you may be able to monitor your temps through the use of a program such as HWMonitor And, I would keep using the Win 7 Ultimate OS

    asus eee pc 1000hd help

If it is getting hot around the battery area, then I would figure it is getting hot because the battery is bad (yes, that is a thing). But, if it is getting hot in an area not near the battery, I would believe that to be a result of clogged or blocked vents on the bottom. Assuming the laptop is...

Welcome to Tom's Hardware Forums, I would suggest getting the AL23-901 battery as it is; 1) interchangeable with the AL22-901 and, 2) provides longer battery life than the AL22-901 (AL22-901 is 5200mAh vs 6600mAh for the AL23-901) but I did find the AL22-901 replacement here...

Solved! Laptop shuts off and restarts when AC Adapter is plugged in

Your next step would probably be to try to troubleshoot the motherboard, there's a few good guides out there (YouTube had some) for that but I'm not finding the ones I am thinking of (it's been a while since I last looked at that and searches are not being helpful for me at this time).

Solved! Laptop shuts off and restarts when AC Adapter is plugged in

More than likely it is a problem with the motherboard. It appears you have already been inside of the machine so I'll suggest pulling the motherboard and looking it over for any leaking or swollen capacitors and also look for burnt areas or components on the motherboard.

I spilled tea on my Asus laptop and now the keyboard is not working

Here's what I would do if you brought the laptop to me for repair: Disassemble and steam clean it real good including the keyboard. Inspect all areas tea may have reached, then allow to dry for ~3 days and reassemble then test operation. It may be that contamination is inside the keyboard...

    bios/RTC missing off motherboard?

The CMOS battery being missing (or failing even) can cause all kinds of strange behavior in laptops - it may calm the fans down. If the heatsink was removed in order to check the vents and fan, any thermal compound needs to be cleaned off and replaced.
