Tried that, but no success. Removed the 256g solid state HD and connected it another computer with windows 7, it found the drive. Ran a system check that found and corrected bad sectors, recovered files from HD, however, when put HD back into laptop it was working again. Will monitor how it goes...

Lights up for a second then won't turn on - the ac power light stays on and the red light near think pad stays on. I have already tried hard reset, with and without AC adaptor along with holding power button on for 30 secs, but nothing. I left it over night on charge and it started this morning...
