I was going to buy the converter you linked http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16812270626 however it says "Converts VGA Source to HDMI Display" in the description. Wouldn't my source be the laptop (HDMI) and the projector, the display (VGA)? I'm not knowledgeable on this so...

Thanks so much for the response but the webpage only says the following: "1 projector, 1 screen, speakers and 1 microphone per room. The projectors come with VGA hookup only"
