If I remember correctly, this has always happened on this particular computer (it's new, only a few months old). But camtasia works flawlessly on my laptop, so it points to a specific issue with the custom built pc. I wish computers could diagnose themselves, it would make using them so much...

It crashes multiple times per day, roughly every 5 minutes or so. I't becoming increasingly hard to get any work done. I'm running Windows 8.1 Pro. It seems to happen most often when I'm zooming in and out of the timeline, I recorded a video screenshot of it happening here...
