    I have a cable box which I use with optical to dvd, if I use hmdi cable to DVD & tv do I still need optical to get sound on my

    I use hdmi to cable box from tv, I have dvd home theatre sound, & I use optical from cable box to dvd for tv sound, if I used a hmdi cable from tv to DVD will I still get sound on tv with out using the optical cable
