You should just be able to plug it in. Since you dont have any other OS on your HDD or the USB, so your PC should recognize that and just boot off the USB without you having to give it boot priority.- Christian5192

I want to wipe my Acer Aspire 5100-3583 clean
Turn off your laptop. When you see the Acer screen, press Alt F10. This should take you to the recovery partition on the hard drive. From there, you can do a factory restore.- Christian5192
