That makes sense - - - - however it was Sony Support that told me I had the wrong one. ("Sorry fella -- you're on your own") I guess that steers me away from Sony products, when tech support burshes you away.

I have an Insignia NS-RMTSNY21 remote that's been "customized" for a Sony Bravia TV. Is there any way to do a factory reset, other than removing (one by one) all other functions? It wan't a cheapy (50 at BestBuy) so I don't want to discard it. Thanks!

If I "unpair" the bluetooth fomr my Sony kd-50x80J, will it revert to IR automatically. Does anyone know of any factory functions that are b-tooth only?

Looking for smart 4K hd tv that uses IR remote control. Sony now uses b-tooth, and only one remote can be paired at any one time, With IR any number of viewers can have his/her own remote. Anyone have a alternate brand that still uses IR? Would appreciate info.
