I have not received the laptop back to try any solutions on it, so I am going to close this thread, and if I do get it back, create another thread if nothing on here works.

I was just going to use it to clean the connectors themselves. Use a Q-tip on the gold or copper connectors on the ribbon cable.

An external keyboard works fine. I was thinking of just reseating the keyboard connection, but cleaning it first. Any recommendations on what to use to clean it? I was thinking of alcohol. I figure if cleaning and reseating doesn't fix it, then it must be a problem with the connection at the...

I have a Lenovo V570, and the keys started not working unless I press down really hard on them, which sucks when i'm trying to type up a proposal. I replaced the keyboard, but still having the exact same issue. Short of updating the driver, and reseating the cable, can anyone think of any more...

I'm looking for a Laptop that I could use for graphics design classes in school. I want to make sure that its graphically powerful enough, and that the cpu can handle it as well. I would like to keep it under $900 if at all possible. Thank you in advance for your help.

IDK if this makes a difference, but the original charger was 19.5v 90w, and the one i'm trying to use is 19v 90w, could that be the problem of not enough power getting to it?

Another question. Could the dc jack fit, and be for the wrong motherboard, as far as wattage is concerned?

Board came with a CPU already attached, its non removable, at least not without a lot of work. The fans aren't spinning, because nothing is coming on at all, just the led where the ac adapter plugs into. I tried another adapter, and it blinks faster than the other one does, if that helps anyone...

I've tried with and without the battery, and the emptying of the caps, I've tried also. I've tried different ac adapters, and the universal ones, just shut off, and the one that is supposed to be for this HP just makes the led light blink. btw the universal ones go up to 90w.
