    I also have the 5520. I want to get an eGpu but I think the only reason it's a problem is the bios has a whitelists on the mini- pci- e slot. I dont know much more than that...

    Meaning? I am not sure if my laptop will run an egPu. But I saw a guy on YouTube running a similar model to mine just fine. I also figured out using external display is better, that way the signal does not have to run two ways in a 1x slot.
