I've tried a totally up to date HMLI cable , ARC compliant . Same problem . Replaced the two old units with modern dual tuners . Works fine !

I've recently bought a Panasonic TV -TX40CX700B. But connection to a elderly Samsung DVD -SH853M via HMLI gives Vision but No Sound . Connection via SCART gives Sound but no Vision ! Using a very old simple DVD player (SCART only) works perfectly . All used to work fine on my old Samsung TV...
