This is the thing. He is facing the same issue while it doesn't have a battery. So it's not caused by the battery.

I don't think it's battery cuz mine is near the earpieces, and it smells exactly like crayons. Btw mine is T205BT which is bluetooth while his earphones are not.

I have the same exact headphones and this happened to me as well. I don't know if its some sort of protective liquid but it's weird as hell. It was like popping an acne, I didn't cut the cable tho, my cable just had a bulge kept growing, I squeezed and then it released the orange oily thing
