Is a soundcard/amp neccesary for good mic quality?

I'm very new to this sort of stuff, could you explain how to check the gain and how to adjust it? Is it inside the Realtek audio panel or somewhere else? Also a ground loop isolator is a component you have to buy separately right?

And it's not because i have an AC or something running in the background. The only other sound in the room other than me is the pc which is rather quiet.

Yea it kinda sounds like it but on mine there is a very high amount of buzzing/static in the background. I tried to enable noise cancellation in the Realtek Audio panel but when i do it only slightly lowers the static but it's still there and it worsens the sound of my voice.

Is a soundcard/amp neccesary for good mic quality?

I just recently bought the Sennheiser G4ME Zero's and my friends say that the mic is kinda meh. Not bad.. but could be better if that makes sense. I have an msi z170a pc mate motherboard and was wondering if a soundcard or amp was neccesary for better mic quality or maybe i have set the settings...
