    The thing is my HDMI port is connected to my integrated graphics. When my brother connected his laptop to my screen he could get 144 hz with the nvidea control panel. But i can't with the Intel graphics control panel.

    I think HDMI cables don't work like that. I think that are called High speed and so one. But i have tried switching out the HDMI cables.

    I have dell xps 9570 an i recently bought an msi optix mag241c. I connected the hdmi to the monitor and the refresh rate only goes up to 120 hz. my laptop has an hdmi 2.0 and the msi website says their hdmi supports 1080p 144hz. https://www.msi.com/Monitor/Optix-MAG241CV/Specification...
