If none of the above work correctly then I would check your audio drivers.

Is that device indicated as the default device? Is it selected as "use this device" in windows? If another device is selected as the default device it may not work correctly. Also is it muted? And lastly did you use any new cables or are they the exact same cables?

Thank you for responding. I got my mono cable in the mail today and it worked great. The adapter I had before must have been a stero adapter but it did not specify that when i bought it. Thanks again!
