It doesn't happen often and I do have everything plugged into a surge protector, I still should be able to get sound out of my TV speakers. I should be able to switch back and forth, correct? Do I have to unplug something from my TV (the surround sound) when I want to go back to TV speakers?

When my surround sound goes out with a power hit, I can't seem to switch to the TV speakers and get sound. Why is that?
