nevermind. figured it out. dont get up. applications need to be open to modify individual settings. ie. MUTE... somehow turned on across the board in Razer Synapse.

I have the Razer Kraken Chroma 7.1 Surround Sound Headphones. Not a single complaint about them but as soon as i installed Sony Vegas Pro onto my computer, my Krakens no longer play any media audio(anything from my editing videos, to YouTube, to game audio, even basic voice recordings), though...
