Ok, well there are no drivers to install for Hyper X cloud 2 (as far as I am aware), so I'm really not sure what's going on to be honest. I would recommend to take the safe option and RMA them. Test the replacement, and if you are still experiencing problems it is possibly a motherboard problem.

Don't use usb ports. Use the mic and headphone jacks directly with the motherboard. See if that works.

Settings -> More -> Developer Options -> (or equivalent) Change the values of "Transition animation scale", "Animator duration scale" & "Window animation scale" to 0.5x (or as low as they can go). Probably won't help of this is a kernel problem.

Check your registry for values matching that of "i.simpli.fi". Delete the values. (Be careful when doing so).
