The hack with developer's USB debugging doesn't work. I also tried another cable I borrowed from a friend but alas no change.

HI I work from home thanks to COVID. Since I only have wifi (no cabled internet available here) I use my USB cable to tether my phone to my pc. Worked fine for weeks but today the option to tether my phone via usb is greyed out. I tried all the different ports on the computer but it won't work...
