4s will be outdated soon, and the 5c wont be produced after the 6 comes out. I would really suggest waiting for the 6 (september/august) or at least waiting till then and getting the discounted 5s.

Go for an iPad Mini with Retina. For media consumption the form factor is perfect for watching videos for hours at a time. Not too heavy. I love the iPad Mini. Go for it

iPad Mini with Retina Display. No brainer for me. Even though its 2" smaller the form factor is a lot nicer IMHO. Plus its the newest one. The Nexus 10 has been out for years. Its quite underspecced compared to the newer android tablets.

I would go for a good, solid, but lower end spec'd laptop that comes with Windows 7 and sell your your current laptop. Even if Windows 9 is good then Windows 7 will still be very good. But your laptop would be able to handle Windows 7 fine I'd assume

M8 is newer so it will get updates longer. It has the SnapDragon 800, which is a pretty big preformance gain over the SnapDragon 600. Also it gets Adreno 330 instead of 320 on the m7. You have the duo camera, bigger screen, and better speakers also. Id go for the M8
