Most graphics cards have a bit of room to overclock with, and one way to do it is through with MSI afterburner (it does work with more than just MSI cards). First you need to download it. ...
True 7.1 doesn't exist in headsets. That means you have multiple speakers. Surround is useless for music, and virtual surround is just fine for gaming, you can tell where sounds come from just as easily. The Sennheiser G4ME Zero is probably the best gaming headset out there in terms of sound...
Compatible is any 3.5mm cable. What do you mean if the new cable has a mic? Like a 4 pole as opposed to a 3 pole connector? In which case, it should work. There is little to no chance that the cable will not work.
Yep, can use any cable you want. That's the only difference from the M50 if I'm not mistaken. The M50x is a really nice headset, can't go wrong with it. Just don't waste your money on a $50 Monster cable or something
AdBlock is nice, I don't see why more people don't use it. Can be disabled if you want to support a website that has unintrusive ads, too. Also, it's free.
A Creative Audigy Fx would work well. You may find you won't use surround for music that much, though, because it is best for gaming and locating things like gunshots, but doesn't add much to music.
It may just be that the port is both bad on cables and sensitive to said bad cables, try a new cable. You can usually find them really cheap, I have 20 lying around. Batteries also tend to weaken and hold less of a charge over time, so that's probably contributing to it as well.
Sounds good. They tend to fit pretty tight and suffocate your ears, gives better noise isolation and bass, but after a few hours you have to take a break.
They will sound better than the Audio Technicas, but they will be less comfortable. Both will sound pretty nice, though, so if you want to wear them for long periods, you may want to go with the Audio Technicas.
