i already set hdd to be the first . but the problem still there

mine laptop is toshiba l850 and now cant acess to run in window 8 . it show no bootable device and i tried holding 0(zero) while it opening but it still show check media fail and no bootabe device . it still can restore to factory setting ? how ? or have any suggestion to fix it by self ?
