Apple charges 30% too. Google created the operating system including the app store and spends a ton of money on the ecosystem. I dislike the 30 too.. But don't single Google out.. They all suck in this regard.

Those buttons must be really really bad for an otherwise outstanding phone to get 6/10. 30 minutes battery life is not a huge amount off the galaxy and as you said... The screen is more colour accurate but not as vibrant. The idea of the buttons sounds good. Perhaps the settings just need...

I would add that the amazon comment about blocking an open site is untrue too. They actually say you get the standard web view when you visit the site so they are not blocking the open website.. they are blocking an app that selectively shows parts of the open website.

Considering how much Amazon has benefitted from Google building Android on which most Amazon stuff is built as well as YouTube and search etc, and since Google happily has any Amazon apps in its store.. it seems silly that the author thinks Google should just roll over and let Amazon have...

I don't understand why the arm companies Qualcomm and even Samsung, who have been doing it for ages can't make a cpu that can compete with Apples. They go on about the 835's speed, but compared to the A11 it's like it's a couple of generations old. Other than the CPU, they really just copied...
