They locked my account due to 'suspicious activity' when I purchased a gift prime membership today. Payback? I think so. They even cancelled the gift card purchase. I think I don't need Prime anymore.

It's possible either your charger is broken or the charge port on your tablet is loose. Does it change if you wiggle the charger around a bit after plugging it in?

Nexus tablets are also great, and around the same price.

What are your wireless settings? They may be incompatible with your tablet.

Do a factory reset after you back up what you need to SD card. when you install apps, make sure to move them all to SD card as you install them. This is the issue with older/ noname tablets, they can't deal with the newer apps.

Try holding down the volume down key while pressing the power button. It may have discharged the battery also... try charging for 10 mins then see if it turns on.

Assuming you connected your google/gmail account with your phone, all your contacts will be on a new phone when you connect it to your google account. You can check your google account online to see if your contacts are all there.

Having similar issues here... funny that so many recommend NON-free options... i.e. free to try but you have to pay to actually recover anything
