    Solved! Someone Hacked my Computer

Based on the limited info of what it actually was.....if it was me, I'd throw the drives away and start over to be absolutely certain. A good, reputable 'secure erase' utility to clean the drives is certainly recommend at the least before reinstalling. I'd also flash the BIOS on the...

I need help on finding a good gaming laptop under $250

This product does not exist new. Your best bet for the price range is to find anything you can, used, that has a dGPU.

Tired of slow laptops - Need one for basic Gopro/drone video editing

Have you thought about putting an SSD in the Toshiba and doing a clean, fresh install of Win10 on it to see if it improves things (as I'm sure it would)? If it still has all the factory bloat-ware on it from Toshiba, and was a Win10 upgrade from Win7......this will likely make a substantial...

Headphone only plays out of one ear

This certainly happens: http://www.tomshardware.com/answers/id-3266436/audio-jack-issue.html If you cannot replace the 3.5mm jack in the case, then a bay accessory is the most affordable solution.

Helping friend build vr ready build.

Considering the advice here is all over the map, I thought I'd link this for a bit more of an in depth answer: Steve certainly can write a book about testing and methodology: http://www.gamersnexus.net/guides/2871-amd-vs-intel-vr-cpu-benchmarks-with-vive-and-rift To clarify my own build...

Helping friend build vr ready build.

VR really does perform best when it's not competing for CPU resources, so would certainly point you in the direction of looking at more threads: PCPartPicker part list / Price breakdown by merchant CPU: AMD Ryzen 5 1600X 3.6GHz 6-Core Processor ($248.98 @ NCIX US) CPU Cooler: Cooler Master...

    music prdction and DAW's

FL Studio is a great place to start, especially because you can tiptoe in with the trial/demo. There's a well developed community too, so plenty of support. Like any DAW, it has quite a learning curve.....and the piecemeal plugins can get spendy. Something like Reaper may be worth a look as well.

    osvr hdk 2.0

OSVR games work, or work with some limited tinkering: http://store.steampowered.com/search/?vrsupport=103 But if it's a Rift or Vive 'exclusive' then you should be prepared for some steep work to get them going, if at all. I should also mention that the OSVR experience is not like Vive or...

My Oculus Rift is on the way.

I would say Elite Dangerous is the VR game for me. Radial-G and Project cars for driving sims are good too. I'm also way into passive VR. especially travel docs. Room scale is good, but it's not my favorite thing about VR (good for crowds though, especially when you can monitor on a remote...

    Audio jack issue

They all come apart a little different, but you'll first have to desolder to get the old one out: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SfIE3VsCaY0 And then replace the unit. Honestly the hardest part of the whole thing is going to be just getting to it....the desoldering, remove/replace, solder...

    Audio jack issue

I would call TK and ask them with the specific case make and model number, which to use (or if they can send/sell the spare part). You can also take the case apart and separate the solders. Once you have it off/out of the case it should be pretty easy to identify. then just solder the new one in.
