    A few questions about Directx12

Nobody can really say for sure yet, as we haven't been able to test it with actual hardware. Theoretically you would be able to plug both cards into a PCIe x16 lane and each would be regulated down to X8, like current SLI or Crossfire configurations.

Sony Vaio VPCS132GX new hard drive Windows 7

I would caution you against running those .exe files you downloaded. Those aren't drivers provided directly from the manufacturer, and very well might have viruses or outdated drivers. Here is the official website for your Vaio...

samsung evo 850 ssd 250 gb

No problem, Well it sounds like you might have gotten a bad drive. The Samsung 850's come with a 5 year warranty, so I'm sure you can get it replaced for a working model. I think the best thing to do at this point is contact Samsung Support and see if they can help you from here.

Which component upgrade has caused my battery life to drop?

The easiest way to test it would be to physically change the modules back out.

Which component upgrade has caused my battery life to drop?

As long as your power saving settings have stayed the same I'd say it looks like your new components are just going to be taxing your battery more. I'm honestly suprised at the extent of the draw, but it certainly seems to be the case.

Which component upgrade has caused my battery life to drop?

Hi n00b2, I'd venture to say it is probably your RAM. Not because the modules themselves are draining power, but because you're able to do more things more quickly on your laptop. If you're now able to keep more tabs on your browser open and run additional programs at the same time that will...

samsung evo 850 ssd 250 gb

Hi tgaloukas, It sounds like your computer doesn't have a good connection to the SSD. First thing to try would be to move the drive data cable to a different SATA port on your motherboard. You might also want to try a different SATA data cable if you can.

    Is it a virus ?

When you make the Rescue CD and reboot your PC it will ask you if you want to 'boot into the cd.' This means the Antivirus program will start running on your computer before Windows has a chance to load. By booting into the Antivirus program before loading Windows it helps the Antivirus search...

    Pascal Question Regarding Laptop Heat/Noise

No problem, I agree, as long as you don't have to have your new system right away it would probably be best to wait until some hard numbers come in.

    Pascal Question Regarding Laptop Heat/Noise

Pascal is SUPPOSED to be more efficient, and therefore run cooler. Since it has yet to be released we can't say with 100% certainty, but there is a very good chance that a Pascal card will help mitigate the laptop heat issue. *Note, any Pascal laptop that comes out at first is going to be VERY...

which would laptop be best to buy

Hello Lindag_7, and Welcome to Tom's Hardware! I suggest getting the Lenovo Yoga 500 Intel® Core™ i3 Processor model. It has a faster processor and better graphics, which will mean faster day-to-day performance for you. Although it has 4GB less RAM than the first option, for what you will be...

    Is it a virus ?

It could be. Here is a good test to scan your PC: - Download Kaspersky Rescue Disk 10: https://support.kaspersky.com/viruses/rescuedisk - Burn it to a CD/ DVD - Restart your computer with the DVD in the drive and boot into the Antivirus Software - Run a full scan of your computer and see if...

    Best Laptop for football manager

No problem, and yes, either MacBook would be a good choice. Between the two I would personally go with the MacBook Pro, but I prefer to have a bit of weight and size on my laptops...every time I work on a client's MacBook Air I feel like I could crush it very easily if I wasn't careful.
