Nevermind I solved the issue Apparently after calling tech support, i was told that the mic is not functional unless i pair the headset with my pc via bluetooth. i therefore need to purchase a bluetooth dongle. very convenient Mad Catz :kaola:

i had the same issue with my freq9 wireless usb headset. update your sound card driver. google your motherboard's model no. and download the latest audio drivers from the website. it should work
