To sum it up, the HDMI was taking taking priority of the audio and setting the monitor as the default device. (Even though it did not have speakers) Just had to go into the sound properties and set the laptop as the default audio device. Thanks for the help.

Hello, Hello all, I just bought a Sony Vaio Pro 13. When I close the lid, and use an external display, I get no sound. I've already changed the windows settings for the laptop to function with the lid closed. External monitor, mouse, and keyboard function properly, just not the sound. Anybody...
