I did open it all up, basically looking for a fuse or similar - nothing jumpd out at me I'll test it with the voltmeter tomorrow :)

I tried with the actual charger today, and the charger is working fine - checked that too.

Yes I treid taking the battery out, powering without holding down the power button etc etc - no avail...

The laptop ran out of charge and whilst doing updates I was away from home and didn't have the right charger, tried a couple of other but no charge... got home plugged in with the proper charger and now it won't show any sign of life, no charge light, no power on... I tried the rest but...
